Describe your day: in a word: SPECTACULAR! A huge part of which was because of Riverwood. We wanted a really chilled day where everyone could relax and really just enjoy the beautiful bush and river, and that's exactly what we got. There were lots of bare feet by nightfall, bride included!

 

Favorite moment: so many to choose from.... I'd say there were 2: standing with my man at the ceremony arch looking at the stunning backdrop, and at dusk - the sun was setting, fires were lit and the festoons brought everything to life. Everybody had really relaxed.

 

Why Riverwood: we really loved the thought of getting away from it all and celebrating with our loved ones in the bush; it's our calm, happy place. Once we saw Riverwood, we just knew it was the place for us - we couldn't go past the beauty of it. And then on the day itself and days leading up to it - Carmen, Geoff and the whole family were just amazing. So lovely and genuine, and you could see how much they loved the place. We are from Sydney so booked it sight unseen apart from photos, and although we knew it would be beautiful, nothing compares to how incredible the place really is. It was far beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend it enough, 12/10!

 

Tips and hints: getting Carmen to do your on the day coordination is a must! The woman is amazing and goes far beyond the call of duty. Also, recommend getting some light furniture that is relocatable between the ceremony, canapés on the creek and main reception area. Also, don't go for heels! Wedges or flats only :-)
